The Pond Garden joins the Woodland Garden to the south and overlooks the Conservatory to the north. Petasites and Ligularia dominate with the focus on a massive specimen of Gunnera manicata, the largest herbaceous plant in the world, a native of Brazil.
In addition to the water lilies growing in the Duck Pond, aquatic plants can be found throughout the pools at Stonecrop. The pools on the Rock Ledge showcase aquatics particularly well, as they are viewed as one descends the stone steps.
