The Conservatory was completed in 1997. Each of the four wings has the capacity to maintain a unique environment with the use of climate control systems. In winter and spring, the Conservatory is used as a display house for a winter garden of non-hardy plants and a wide variety of blooming bulbs, trees and shrubs many of which are native to South Africa, Australia and New Zealand. Most of the Conservatory plants spend their summers outside in displays throughout the garden. |
