Tender bulb to 2′. This unusual summer bloomer is native to southeastern Spain where it can be found growing in alpine meadows. The many star-like, six-tepalled, white flowers are displayed on upright racemes and last for several weeks. Prominent yellow anthers and slender, grass like foliage in a basal rosette complete the package.
