(P) to 6′. Meadow Sweet. Europe and Asia. A pretty, spreading plant of wet meadows and ditches, bearing flat-clustered corymbs of sweetly fragrant, creamy-white flowers in midsummer. The dark green, coarsely toothed, irregularly pinnate foliage is distinctively crinkled, resembling the leaves of an elm tree. Moist to wet soil. Sun/partial shade. 3 & T2 & ∆
