Deciduous shrub to 6′. Snowberry. This North America native is thicket-forming, with wiry branches and oblong-elliptic to rounded, opposite, green leaves. Tiny, bell-shaped, pink flowers bloom in clusters in the leaf axils. The flowers are followed by bunches of globose berries that begin pale green in colour but ripen to snow-white by late summer to early autumn.
